PayPal to keep the commission on refunds

This week we learn that PayPal have decided to keep the commission generated (2.9%) of the sale value. In the event that you need to make a refund.

So a £1000 sound sale, if refunded, will leave the retailer with a £29 debt to PayPal.

Not only is this probably illegal in the UK, and If it isn’t it should be.

But probably most disgusting is the timing. When the World is struggling to defeat Covid-19. PayPal decides to turn the screw on retailers, who are fighting for there livelihoods and will be for some time to come. Shame on you PayPal.
